2023 Bridge Inspection Training Classes
The purpose of this NBI Subscription Service Announcement is to provide information to Illinois Certified National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) Program Managers, Team Leaders and others involved in the bridge inspection program of IDOT hosted Bridge Inspection Training Classes scheduled for 2023.
Registration can be done using the registration link provided for each class under the ‘Training’ tab on the Bridge Management and Inspection Unit website.
IDOT Hosted Bridge Inspection Training Classes for 2023
- FHWA-NHI-130055C: Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges (Coding Guide Version)
Format: In-Person
Dates: November 27th – December 8th, 2023
Registration Deadline: November 24, 2023
Location: Springfield, IL
Cost: $2300
- FHWA-NHI-130056C: Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges for Professional Engineers (Coding Guide Version)
Format: In-Person
Dates: December 11th – December 15th, 2023
Registration Deadline: December 8, 2023
Location: Springfield, IL
Cost: $1250
These classes are equivalent to the previously hosted NHI 130055 and NHI 130056. Successful completion of either of these classes fulfills the training requirements of the NBIS (23 CFR 650.309) for a FHWA-approved comprehensive training course.
In the event any of the classes list above are cancelled, an NBI Subscription Service Announcement will be distributed and those registered will be notified by the Bridge Management and Inspection Unit.
